They involve injecting hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, into the skin to help it retain moisture and keep it looking plump and youthful. Skin boosters can also be used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture.

Profhilo
Profhilo is the first stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) based product that is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE) and is used for skin remodelling and treating skin laxity, not for just filling lines and wrinkles. It delivers a dramatic improvement in tissue quality, even in challenging areas, and is complementary to other aesthetic treatments and dermal filler procedures.

Within 3-5 days, you can witness the first hand transformation of tired and dull-looking skin to firm and luminous skin. Profhilo usually works to smooth and hydrate the skin from the very first treatment but results are more prominent after the second treatment as Profhilo takes time to work. By having 2-3 treatment sessions, it allows the Profhilo to remain in the skin for a longer time, resulting in a longer-lasting effect.

In general, results will last from 6 to 9 months and even up to one year depending on individual skin type factors, such as age, and lifestyle.
Benefits of Profhilo:

-
Improvement in tissue quality
-
Skin remodelling
-
Treatment of skin laxity
-
Restore skin firmness

How does Profhilo work?

Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.

As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
